Music minors are ideal for those who wish to pursue musical studies and activities but do not want to complete a major in music.

Music minors + certificates

The ASU School of Music offers two music minors: the Minor in Music Studies and the Minor in Music Performance. Both minors are available as BIS concentrations.

A minor provides current students the option to learn similar skills as they complete their major. A minor is an approved, coherent concentration of academic study in a single discipline, involving substantially fewer hours of credit than a corresponding major. Most ASU colleges offer undergraduate minors in addition to majors.

School of Music Ensembles - Non-Majors

Students may pursue some certificate programs along with a major and other certificate programs independently. The certificate is a programmatic or linked series of courses in a single field or one that crosses disciplinary boundaries.
