Music Computer Lab

Overview: 

The Music Computer Lab opened in 1992 when the ASU Herberger Institute School of Music doubled its existing facilities. Equipped with iMac computers, MIDI devices, recording equipment and specialized software, the lab functions as a tool for teachers to integrate digital technology into the classroom.

During open lab hours, the space is available to music majors for general use.

Technical Specification: 

Each workstation is equipped with state-of-the-art Macintosh computers. All stations have multi-timbral MIDI Alesis QSR sound modules, keyboard controllers and a audio recorders. Almost all periphial equipment can be controlled from the computer, permitting simple and precise editing, mixing and synchronization. In the classroom, students work not only with industry standard programs for general computing needs, but also use professional music applications.

 

 

 

 

 

 

PARKING

Parking: 

Decal Lots: FREE on non-event weekends. No decal is required EXCEPT in Residence and Restricted lots. 
Metered Parking:
 All meters at the Tempe campus require payment from 7 a.m. – 10 p.m., Monday–Saturday. Meters are $1.50 per hour, with a maximum of either one- or two-hour parking.
Pay-By-Space Lots:
 In effect 7 a.m. – 10 p.m., Monday–Saturday. Pay at pay machine. $2/hour.
Visitor Lots:
 Available from 6 a.m. – 10:30 p.m., Monday–Friday. $2-3/hour, $8-12/day.
Disability Parking:
 Available in all parking areas.
