Recital Attendance

Frequent attendance at live performances by faculty and your student colleagues is rewarding and an important way to enhance your awareness of repertoire, musical styles and singing technique.

At the beginning of each semester, you are issued a yellow voice area recital attendance card. You must attend four voice area recitals. Teaching assistants are at the entrance to the hall to punch the yellow card at both the beginning and the end of these recitals. Present this card to your studio teacher at the end of the semester, as this is part of the requirement for your studio grade.

In addition, you must attend 5–10 voice recitals through the course of each semester. The number of recitals is determined by the voice faculty each semester, and is dependent upon the number of scheduled voice recitals available to attend. Before leaving the hall, have the supervising voice professor sign your program. Present these signed programs to your studio teacher at the end of the semester.
