Undergraduate Audition Requirements: Voice
Prepare a complete list of solo repertoire studied. It is not necessary to list choral repertoire unless you were a featured soloist. It is appropriate to list any roles you have performed. Memorization of all audition material is expected. If you are seeking admission into the Solo Performance or Music Theatre degree, you should show evidence of a minimum of one year of private instruction in voice and extensive performance experience. This may be done in a brief typed resume.
A sight-singing audition will be scheduled immediately following the prepared vocal audition. Although it will not affect acceptance into the School of Music, you are expected to attend this portion of the audition.
You must submit the titles, names of composers and keys of your audition repertoire as soon as possible after your audition date is confirmed. An accompanist will be provided at no charge or you may bring your own. Please specify whether you will or will not need an accompanist provided by ASU. This information should be submitted by e-mail to ugradmusicadmissions@asu.edu.
