Area Recitals/Convocation

The string area presents four recitals per semester in which one student representative from each studio is chosen to perform. These recitals are attended by the entire string faculty and student body. The faculty choose a student from each recital to represent the string area on a school-wide convocation recital. Occurring five times throughout the semester, convocation recitals represent the best from each performance area in the school of music and are attended by all undergraduate music majors.

Attendance at area recitals is mandatory. Requests to perform must be made through your professor. All performances are on various Wednesdays from 2:40–3:30 p.m. throughout the semester.
