With more than 660 concerts and recitals a year, performance in the ASU Herberger Institute School of Music is a vital part of the curriculum. Performance opportunities abound for our string students. From orchestra to chamber music, studio classes to concerto solos, Baroque Ensemble to the New Music Ensemble, the curriculum at ASU emphasizes the development of well-rounded and marketable musicians in both traditional and emerging fields. In addition, as part of a metropolitan area of 4.5 million, ASU students have numerous performance and freelance opportunities in Phoenix and the surrounding communities.
