The ASU Herberger Institute School of Music is one of only a few music institutions in the world that possesses an important collection of fine violins, violas and various excellent bows that are available to support students’ career development. These extremely valuable instruments include violins made by Guarneri, Gagliano, Pressenda, Baldantoni and violas by Rocca and DeConet.
Students at the highest performance level who participate in national or international competitions or who are engaged to perform in distinguished professional events, may have access to some of the finest instruments. Additional high quality instruments are available for degree recitals, various auditions, special on- or off-campus performance events and string method classes.
