Instrument Collection

ASU Herberger College School of Music has an impressive collection of percussion instruments.  The percussion area houses instruments for use by the percussion ensembles and world music groups.  In addition, two sets of concert instruments are available for the bands and orchestras.  
 
Of special note, we have:

  • Five sets of 5 timpani (including Hinger and Adams Cloyd Duff models)
  • Five 5- octave marimbas (Adams, Marimba One and Musser)
  • Five vibraphones (one with MIDI triggers)
  • Four sets of chimes
  • Vintage Deagan xylophones, bells and marimbas
  • Numerous snare drums, drumsets and auxiliary instruments
  • Three sets of 3 congas
  • 3 octaves of tuned cowbells
  • 2+ octaves of tuned gongs
  • Authentic African drums
  • 15 piece steel band
  • Contemporanea and Pearl Brazilian percussion instruments
