The job market in music therapy, especially in Arizona, is very good. Currently the ASU Herberger Institute School of Music music therapy program has a near 100 percent employment rate for its graduates. The job market is most robust in the area of children with special needs including autism and developmental delay, general medical hospitals and hospice.
