Post-Degree Certification Students
If you have an undergraduate degree in music and wish to obtain teacher certification, or if you have an elementary education degree and are seeking a music endorsement, you can pursue coursework leading to music certification or add a music endorsement to a certification by enrolling in the appropriate music courses as a non-degree graduate student. You may also earn certification concurrently with enrollment in the Master of Music in Music Education degree. If you choose this route, some certification course work may count toward your graduate degree.
Contact a faculty advisor in music education to discuss your options and plan your coursework. Provide a copy of any undergraduate or graduate transcripts so that we may provide the best possible information based on your particular circumstances. Faculty advisors are:
