MLS Research Group The Music, Learning, and Society Research Group is a consortium of faculty and graduate students in music education. The MLS Research Group supports inquiry that investigates social transformation through engagement through music; music education theory, policy, and practice; the preparation and continuing development of music education professionals; the meaning and value of music for individuals in every stage of life; and music and learning as it occurs in diverse forms and practices in the community. We are committed to diversity in research approaches, and we seek to develop and promote innovative arts-based research projects.
