Lyric Opera Outreach Performance (LOOP)

The ASU Herberger College School of Music’s Lyric Opera Outreach Performance program enriches the lives of Arizona students, grades K-12, by inviting them to enjoy the world of opera and musical theatre.

Each year, LOOP selects one musical and one opera from the Lyric Opera Theatre from its season for young audiences. At the end of the performance, your students have the opportunity to talk with directors, conductors, choreographers, designers, technicians and cast members to learn how each contributes to the overall the production. A study guide is sent in advance to prepare your students and encourage questions. You, your students and your chaperones attend the performance free of charge and your school can be reimbursed for bus transportation to and from the performance at the ASU Tempe Campus.

LOOP is made possible through a generous donation by Dr. Harold and Mrs. Doreen Saferstein and is a fulfillment of their dream to introduce opera and musical theatre to young people.

There is no charge to your school and we may reimburse bus transportation to and from the performance. Admission and transportation generously underwritten by the Saferstein Endowment.
