Student Ensembles

Whether you want to perform in a symphony orchestra, a baroque ensemble, a jazz combo, chamber music group or a mariachi band, you can find your performance specialty taught and practiced in the ASU Herberger College School of Music by some of the best professionals in their fields. But performance isn’t just about ensembles.

Students and faculty often perform together in studio recitals or ensemble performances and collaborate with many of the world’s finest composers in premieres of their works. Students hear and see firsthand how artist teachers work a concerto with an orchestra, prepare an art song for recital or a score for rehearsal and performance. This collaboration creates mentoring relationships that go beyond the traditional master-student approach to learning and performing music.

Some of our ensembles are open to both School of Music students and the community. Click on your specific ensemble interest to get specific details about becoming a member.
