School of Music

The School of Music has had another wonderful year of
great performances and special events. Our faculty performed or presented
in more than 20 countries and 30 states this year, and we presented more
than 660 events locally. The student body is of the highest caliber that
we have ever enrolled. Our Wind Symphony and Chamber Winds ensembles, led
by Professors Gary Hill and Martin Province, traveled to Minneapolis in
March to perform and give clinics at the College Band Directors National
Association. We welcomed and honored an outstanding alumnus. And, we expanded
our scholarship and fellowship offerings with the establishment of new awards
such as the Severinsen scholarship. The health of the School of Music is
excellent despite economic challenges. We look forward to another excellent
class of new students next fall and more life-changing performances. We
hope you can join us on campus for many of our events in the 2003-2004 season.
