What has been your favorite experience while participating in the Piano Prep/Conservatory Program?

“I love it all, but mostly performing and getting to know the piano teachers here.”

What do you enjoy most about your private lessons?

“Looking into the music deeper to help make the piece sound better, and making a storyline to it.”

“My teacher really helps me learn my pieces well. She is nice about helping me, but is strict too.”

“With private lessons it is a great to get to know a teacher. You learn a lot about the teacher and the teacher learns a lot about you.”

What do you like most about group lessons?

“Group lessons are so cool! I can’t imagine how cool this classroom is so I want to go here every day because things here are fun to do! I like the song “Tribal Celebration!” That song is so fun. I love the Five Finger Olympics. I also like the learning because it is fun to play piano! Piano is so so cool!

“I enjoy being in a group and learning to be more comfortable with playing in a group in front of people.”

“I’ve learned how I can make my music better because other people are listening to me play. I can also evaluate and learn from other people’s music.”

What have you learned from participating in performance classes?

“I have learned how to ‘listen’ to music. Also I learned new musical terminology.”

“Not only is performance class a great way to receive positive feedback, but it also provides you with excellent constructive criticism. In addition, you gain general information about music history and composition techniques.”

“I have learned how to critique people’s playing and each time I go I also learn different ways to improve my piece.”

What motivates you to practice each day?

“I just like practicing the piano. It helps me focus a lot better on my homework.”

What do you like most about the PianoPrep/Conservatory Program?

“I think that the Piano Prep Program is a really great Program because I love the teachers because they are so nice. I also like the recitals. I think that the recitals are very fun because I like playing in front of other people.”
