Percussion Jazz Ensemble
| Nov 17, 2009 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm Location: Cost: Free |
|
The Percussion Jazz Ensemble provides a place for percussion majors to hone their skills on the keyboard instrument we play, Marimba and Vibraphone. The repertory represents major jazz composers and some not so likely candidates. Although we generally play the standards this year is a bit more experimental. We are taking standards like Red Clay by Freddie Hubbard and a bossa nova by Jobim and putting them in a completely new context. Come out and enjoy. --Percussion Jazz Ensemble Director and Professor of Percussion, Dr. Mark Sunkett. |
