ASU Wind Symphony The ASU Wind Symphony is the Herberger College School of Music’s premiere large wind band. The group studies and performs a wide array of repertoire, from historic and traditional band literature to a diversity of contemporary music. Its instrumentation includes complete consorts of all wind instrument families, a large percussion section, and piano, bass and harp players. The Wind Symphony is designed to serve as an educational/musical bridge between: amateur and professional ensembles; personal musical aspirations and collaborative musical goals; formal musical studies and practical musical experiences. Rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:40-5:30 p.m. The Wind Symphony is only open to School of Music students and students must audition prior to becoming a member. Auditions are held the first week of school, every fall.
